The Aeronautical Information Service (AIS) is a service established in support of international civil aviation, whose objective is to ensure the flow of information necessary for the safety, regularity, and efficiency of international air navigation.
The manner of collection and management of aeronautical information is regulated by Annex 15 of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO Annex 15)
The main purpose is to meet the need for uniformity and consistency in providing the necessary aeronautical information / data, for operational use by international civil aviation.
Aeronautical Information is published as an integrated package (IAIP), and consists of the following elements:
• Aeronautical Information Publications (AIP Kosovo), including amendment services
• AIP Supplements
• Aeronautical Information Circulars (AICs)
• Pre-Flight Information Bulletins (PIBs)
• List of valid NOTAMs
